Just the Best Goat Tacos (cabrito) I've ever experienced! They're so good that they named the Green Hills location after it. I can't get enough of the cabritos with extra garlic sauce! (Note: I've lived in the Mission Dist of San Francisco since 1970, there's nothing like it where I'm from).
The food is not bad but the service is so so so so bad I can’t give anymore than 1. Lazy rude disinterested, git order wrong, didn’t give two damns. Never said hello goodbye thank you. Appalling.
The place is small but cozy. Food is okay. The service crew does not look over the dining area so catching their attention is a challenge. You can walk off without paying as they keep to the kitchen. Best to bring a whistle with you to get their attention if you need anything.I do not recommend this place due to poor service.
One of the best hangouts in Makati, very popular for good reasons. Tasty tex-fil-mex food and inexpensive booze. Must try the lengua burrito and sisig taco. Highly recommended
I remember the first time that i was invited with this restaurant it was Al Uy who has love life problem. He introduced me that this place was blog by anne custis a filipino celebrity. I like thier spanish or european dishes it is one of a kind. Although if your in a group this place is always crowded.
Good food but not so good drink (sangria)
Great Mexican bar, serving soft tacos and Tex Mex tacos as well. Loved their grilled beef salad tacos or something. They serve local beers, hard drinks and cocktails. Definitely lovelier on night time when it is a crowd drawer in Poblacion. May pop in one evening soon and check it out!
quality tends to be inconsistent. still a good fil-tex-mex resto for the poblacion area. bonus points for having an all-vegan menu page.
Amazing quality authentic food. It reminded me of the tasty tacos in Playa Del Carmen. Even the Capirnaha drink tasted authentic. Very tasty and affordable. You almost forget your in the Philippines. If you have a craving for Mexican street tacos come here. The chicken gizzards were cooked perfectly but only available after 5:30 pm.
Affordable and good Mexican in Makati, a nice place for a Saturday night or even a drink and some food anytime.
Affordable amaretto sour! Good ambience. Celebrated brother's birthday here.
One of the better Mexican restaurants in the metro. The horchata and enchilada are worth ordering. Lines get pretty long here at night.
Really good Mexican food and one of my favorite places in Makati area. Tacos were awesome and they have many kind of drinks. I had non alcoholic drink of green mango and was tasty, but they also have alcoholic drinks like tequila, beer, margaritas,...Nachos also superb. The place is full of Filipinos who want to have a good meal after work and it's a comfortable environment.Nearby there are some homeless people, try to give them some help if you wish.
The best place to get authentic street tacos. The servings are generous and the price is right. Two tacos and a Corona is a good way to start. The sisig taco is one of my favorites. They also do margaritas right! Other street taco places may open, but nothing beats El Chupacabra.
The place came highly recommended. And it didn't disappoint. Warm place, literally, with barbecue aromas as you enter. Cozy sitting.
Chill place. Great place to have a drink. Higly, HIGHLY recommend their quesadilla. Do yourself a favor and try them.
I do enjoy their food. You can also order via grab food!
Unbeatable street tacos and their chicken skewers are legendary! Always fresh and packed with flavour El Chupacabra is a local favourite. Cool vibe great service and value for money. Best to pregame before a crawl around poblacion or best cure for the drunken munchies after crawling in poblacion;)
WonderfulVery delicious grilled skewers albeit a bit spiced. The burritos 🌯 and tacos 🌮 are excellent too, we liked the chicken most. Dress down cool and laid back place, most of the time quite busyReasonable prices, you can have a decent meal with $10-15 per person. Low prices with alcohol too. Recommended
Great food, always succeeds satisfying my Mexican cravings.
The food was decent but the place is cramped. The "clean" plates they gave us were very oily, even after we wiped them down ourselves with some tissue. Gross. Service wasn't attentive - don't expect someone to seat you, just grab a table. You'll need to be very vocal when you ask for something as you won't be approached by staff here. I get how the griminess can be part of its charm but it wasn't the case for me.
Their enchiladas are a great size for the price. I had the cheese enchilada and my partner had to help me finish. Burritos are a bit small, and flavour is just o-k (he had the adobo burrito), but still good. Inside the main area there are fans that rotate but it’s a bit warm. Definitely go on a cooler day. You have to hail the waiters for anything, they don’t come by and ask if you need anything.
Great place and amazing food, lots of seating and in a great location in Makati. Fish taco was amazing. Everything tastes very authentic!
Good place, half decent tacos... The whole "taco taquerie bar theme" in the west is a bit old & passe now... Still going strong in the Philippines though.
Pretty weak food. Overcooked dry skewers. Sigsig lacked flavour and was dry and no crispy bits. Fries were dry and undercooked and arrived after I finished my entire meal. Full of millenials who.have no clue about fecent food and this is more of a hang out spot.
Food was decent for the price. Local beers are REALLY cheap. Ambience is great. Would do better if they leaned into the Mexican vibe of it all a bit more.
It can be a bit humid but the vibe and quality of food is spot on!Craving for Mexican... you can never go wrong! Best sellers are the carnitas soft tacos and quesadillas. They have a room at the back that is not as cramped but can be a bit noisy to have conversations.
Love love love this place. Amazing tacos cheep beer and great service what more can you ask for. A must if you are coming to the area.
Good enough for satisfying your mexican cravings. It's not 100% authentic but it's affordable. The ambience for me was a 3 in the open area. It got a bit crowded and there's a mix of people just there for drinking. Overall experience is a 4 but the open area is not a comfortable place to eat. Might be better if you go early and sit in the AC area.
Good food but quantity not
El chupacabra is a good place to spend time with friends or loved ones after work😁
Best (and almost only) Mexican in town if you don't mind passing through the red light district to get there. They are open late and have never been closed when I tried to go, even at 2am.
Best Mexican restaurant in the Philippines. Taco's are amazing. My only annoyance is they took the spicy goat tacos off the menu which were the best one's by far
It’s delicious and affordable! That’s it. We found the place while searching at spot.ph and we ordered what was recommended. Every food you saw plus a bottle of beer and a lemonade costs us 1000. We got 1 burrito, 1 quesadilla and 2 plates for the carnitas. The burrito is good for sharing if you’re not that hungry. Place is small like every other food joint at the corners of Poblacion, makati. Getting a lot to park your car can be difficult so you might have to park on the streets nearby and walk. Toilet was clean and the food was served hot. Best dish was the carnitas and quesadilla. The place has no air conditioned area (unless you go inside the bar).GO HERE AND ENJOY!
Such a good find! The tacos here are well priced and incredibly tasty! Cheap beers, relaxed vibes and good grub - there is nothing not to love about this place! I highly reccommend the fish tacos.
Best Mexican Ive had in the Phils and better than many in the US. Its really, really good. We go here 2-3 times a wk. Try their tacos. You wont be disappointed. Prices are higher than average, but so are serving sizes. The food is so good i don’t even consider the cost.... its that good. Only downside is it can be hot w/no AC. But who cares when the food is that good. Keep it up, El Chupacabra!
The best tacos in Manila, get the boneless chicken 👌*edit, I've been here 10 times now and have become addicted *beware* extremely good food no matter what you pick! Chicken skewers, burritos are my favorites now. Mango shake is ace!*Edit, I've had everything now and can still say this is the #1 Mexican joint in the Philippines, hands down, you have to try this!
I love EC because it is real Mexican food. The enchiladas are passable, but not their mainstay. Carnitas and tacos... you can't go wrong, trust me. I've travelled a million miles and 58 years to find this place. I eat here every time I am in Manila; at least twice per visit.
Original Mexican tacos. Delicious and authentic. Pretty steep prices though (1 taco 2,5 USD.9
It' essentially Mexicali (a popular Mexican chain in the Philippines) but with more booze, more hip and no airconditioning. 😅And Mexicali is kinda good. The sisig is kinda new to me and is actually pretty good. I' not sure what makes it California-style, however. But try it. It is good! It's actually fine, especially since there seems to be no other Mexican food place nearby.
My number one go to place in Poblacion! Cheap F&B, great vibe, awesome place overall! Tourists love the place! First stop before touring other night spots in the area!
Food and vibe is great. Good for them to have a new storefront but what a bad move it was to convert the other half of the outside seating as motobike parking. Left after 30mins of waiting. Never go on a Friday night.
This was just an amazing experience! There was a line to get in, but we put our name on the waiting list and drank a beer across the street (friendly guy at the entrance came to fetch us when our table was free!)Once inside it's a small maze between al the tiny rooms with tourists and locals drinking and enjoying their meal. The whole vibe was just right.Food wise: these are some delicious street tacos 🤗🤗Definitely recommend this place
Vibe was pretty good, lots of locals and some foreigners. Prices were reasonable. Only complaint is that food could take quite a while.
If you're looking to chill around Poblacion, El Chupacabra is a good place to start. They even have vegan food choices!
The best place to unwind with friends or by yourself. BEST FOOD WITH THE BEST DRINKS FOR THE BEST PRICE! 💯
So great taste, unusual but extravagant!Raj brought us there and we enjoyed it!Great food and kudos to staffs!Great artworks everywhere!
Awesome spot and vibe for super mexican food n chilled beers!! Our #1 "go to" for Mexican food fix in Manila. Super friendly staff and the food is "Legit LIT"
I love it!! I've been wanting to try this place out since 2015. Finally, I got the chance to dine here today. It was kinda hard for me to find the place. Since I'm not so familiar with area. But, hey!! The long walk under the Sun is so worth it!! I only ordered the al pastor soft taco, nacho chips and salsa. Aaaand I fell in love instantly especially with the al pastor. I guess now I'll have more reason to keep on coming back to Pobs. See you soon!!
The best spicy burger I've ever eaten. Very delicious.
Good food. Fast service.
